There are some great things happening in the week ahead so we've put together a shortlist of things you could be doing. Click on the links for more information or have a look at our events calendar to choose your favourites.

Banbury Summer Fest is at Princess Diana Park on Tuesday. It's completely free and will have lots of activities for everyone including welly wanging, woodland activities and storytelling. We've heard these events are really good so it's definitely worth going along. Take a picnic too.

If you like The Gruffalo you're in for a treat because the stage show opens at The Playhouse on Tuesday and will run until Saturday. We've seen this production and highly recommend it for anyone brave enough to go into the deep dark wood...

Dinosaur World Live will be at the New Theatre in Oxford from Thursday until Saturday and could be just the thing if you have children who are into all the action of the prehistoric world.

Harcourt Arboretum is the place to be for those with a creative flair. Children's Craft Days happen every Tuesday during August and are a great way to get crafty with nature. It's free to take part with the usual entrance ticket.

Oxford Aqua Park is an excellent choice for families with children over 6 who are budding fans of Total Wipeout. Ok, maybe not quite the same drama but all of the fun!

There's plenty more choice on our events listings such as open air cinema screenings, pond dipping, t-shirt printing and escapes to sandy beaches without actually leaving the county so have a look through all the other events happening this week.
