If you're Bicester way, Marsh Gibbon Beer Festival would be perfect for the whole family on Saturday afternoon with its tractor rides and family fun, beers on tap, BBQ and entertainment. It's free admission to everyone so go along and enjoy one of the last beer festivals of the year.

Story Fest has its fourth annual event near Abingdon on Saturday and is a great way to bring story books to life for children. With all their favourite characters available to meet including Hugless Douglas, Peter Pan and Gangsta Granny, along with the chance to go on tractor rides or go to the book swap tent, there's no shortage of things to do!

Henley Food Festival is taking place on Saturday and Sunday where you'll be able to find local cheese makers, bread bakers, beer brewers, wine producers and plenty more. The event is spreading itself across several venues in the town so you'll be sure to find something that interests you.

This is the weekend for outdoor challenges and spectators can watch safely from the side lines. The Lasher Dash 2017 is on Saturday at Donnington Bridge in Oxford where you can watch the races take place, including the Wavehopper and one that promises a soggy bottom! On Sunday, you can watch the 10k Lock to Lock starting at Farmoor where swimmers will be braving the water and swimming along the Thames for - yes you guessed it - 10k. Wow!

Calling all fans of Lego...whether you're big or small you won't want to miss the new Brick Wonders exhibition opening this weekend at Banbury Museum. You'll be able to see wonders of the world such as Niagara Falls and the Great Wall of China created in brick form.

Remember to have a look at our other listings to see what else is happening near you this weekend and enjoy whatever it is you choose to do. Happy weekend!
