The weather might be getting damp but don't let that affect your spirits because there's still plenty of things to do around Oxfordshire this weekend. Here's a shortlist of our favourite things to do but for more ideas have a look at our event listings for even more choice.

Flashdance is now showing at the New Theatre in Oxford for all those who want a slice of the 80s action. Get your leg warmers ready and book your tickets quickly because the show is only on until Saturday night. You really wouldn't want to miss it!

Kings Sutton Scarecrow Festival is all set for Sunday and brings a huge range of activities for the whole family. There'll be falconry displays, zorbing, ferret races, a viking re-enactment, a beer tent, entertainment and loads more. Chase and Skye from Paw Patrol will also be visiting so take your little pups for a family fun day out.

In Banbury on Sunday, you'll find The Big Feed which is a completely free event hosted by the fine people at Banbury Academy. You can indulge in a free lunch, free tea, free chocolate and free cake. Why wouldn't you?!

If you want to enjoy the autumn colours, you can find a little bit of Kew right here at Waterperry Gardens this weekend with the SuperNature Sculpture Exhibition. On Saturday and Sunday only, you'll find some amazing additions to the already-glorious gardens  all for the usual entrance price.

For preschoolers, The Adventures of Book Worm at The Story Museum on Saturday morning will keep them entertained as he comes to life to tell them about his adventures in an interactive puppetry play session. Explore the other amazing exhibitions while you're there - the Talking Throne is a must!

That's not all. There are more events listed on our website, many of which are free, so browse through our online calendar to see all the things happening near you. Have a great weekend, folks!
